Description
'Jade' was the codeword for the Forward Air Controller (FAC). The aircraft used was a Cessna O2 (Oscar Deuce).Scene opens with O2 landing on Luscombe Field at Nui Dat. Lt John Bart Neervoort dons parachute and helmet. Greeted by Cpt Chris Neil USAF, pilot of the O2.Aerial scenes of Phuoc Tuy province, Dat Do, Long Hai mountains, coastline.RAAF Canberra bombers used in airstrike. Shots of FAC firing white phosphorus rockets to mark target, bombs dropping from Canberras, bombs exploding, Bell Sioux flying low level runs over target for bomb damage assessment.Flight back to Nui Dat. Aerial shots of Bell Sioux flown by Lt Greg Monteith. View from O2 of approach and landing at Luscombe Field.
