Four men of No 8 Squadron, RAAF, perched on a Department of Aircraft Production (DAP) Beaufort aircraft named "The Tucker Box". Identified; left to right: Flying Officer (FO) A Roberts RAAF, wireless air gunner; 444201 FO John Gerrard Donnelly, pilot RAAF; 429248 FO David Henry Stephenson, RAAF pilot; FO W Wilson, RAAF wireless air gunner. Note the nose art of a dog sitting on a box, painted by 75429 Leading Aircraftman (LAC) Eric Rudolph Edwin Berthelsen, and the painted bombs representing the 72 missions flown by the aircraft. The aircraft was named after the aircraft's regular pilot 403887 Flying Officer (FO) Gilbert Tucker.
