Men of the 18th Battalion temporarily out of the trenches, 'back of Zillebeck Bend' having a meal during a rest break at the 'Sergeant's Mess'. Identified are 1248 Sergeant Roberts (left); Wilson (second from left) and ?Hooper and Allen on right. A dixie sits on the ground between the men along with a number of opened cans.
