Anzac Day banner carried by members of 2/12 Australian General Hospital
Description
Crimson-coloured satin banner which hangs by five tape loops from a gold-painted wooden rail that has a finial on both ends. Painted in gold at the top of the banner is '2-12 / A.G.H.' Below this is the diamond-shaped colour patch of the unit (most of the paint is missing) then 'CEYLON' and 'BORNEO'. The banner is bound to the rail with a length of gold cord. The surplus cord hangs down both sides of the banner and terminates at both ends in a tassle. The V-shaped base of the banner has a decorative gold fringe.
