Description
Two ground crew members of 77 Squadron RAAF use a portable air compressor to pump napalm from a drum into a napalm drop tank attached to a Mustang P-51D aircraft. Several other Squadron aircraft are parked nearby. Pohang (K-3) was a forward airfield with poor facilities and the apron strip is covered by Marsden plates designed to overcome those extreme weather conditions, including rain, snow and mud, which often hampered flying operations.
