Description
This is the left hand image of a two part panorama of P-51D aircraft of 77 Squadron RAAF all parked in several rows on the tarmac in front of the maintenance hangar at Iwakuni. This photograph marked their return from nine months of intensive operations in Korea. It also noted the end of piston-engined fighters which were replaced with the Gloster Meteor Mk 8 jet aircraft. The right hand image is P03119.017. See P03119.033 for the combined image.
