Informal outdoors portrait of VX5416 Private (Pte) Leslie Davidson, 2/7th Battalion, of Fitzroy, Vic, taken at prisoner of war (POW) camp Stalag VIIA in Moosburg. Pte Davidson enlisted on 20 October 1939 with 2/7th Battalion, which played a critical rearguard role as the Allied forces retreated across the island of Crete towards Sphakia. He returned to Australia and was discharged on 12 September 1945.
