Description
Service papers (1934 - 1943) of Group Captain Gradon Title Gilbert after his enlistment with the Royal Air Force during the Second World War. The papers include certificates of commendation, licences to fly different aircraft, passports and other ephemera including menus and invitations. Also included is "From Australis to Borealis" memoirs of Gradon Title Gilbert and two photographic colour maps of the North Atlantic area showing the track of Royal Navy ships, the Bismark, and Graden Title Gilbert's sorties.
