Description
Darwin, NT. 11 November 1999. Australian soldiers with their packs outside the Air Movements Section at RAAF Base Darwin prior to their departure for Dili to join the International Force for East Timor (Interfet). Left to right: Corporal Kessell, Cpl Ingram (Postal) (at back partially obscured ) and Private Cameron Simpson (sitting), the rest are unidentified. A number of the soldiers are wearing Camelbak water bladders over their shoulders.
