Dili, East Timor. 19 November 1999. An unidentified soldier of the 5th/7th Battalion (Mechanised), The Royal Australian Regiment (5/7RAR) armed with an M79 grenade launcher, part of the International Force for East Timor (Interfet), directing an Australian Army Mercedes Benz U1700L truck (registration number 38320) of 5/7RAR, as it drives off the ramp of HMAS Tarakan (L129), after returning from the Oecussi enclave in West Timor. There are nylon horses (ropes) hanging from the sides of the ship.
