Description
Dili, East Timor. 19 November 1999. An Australian Army forklift tractor (registration number 43847) loading boxes onto the cargo deck of HMAS Tarakan (L129), deployed to support the International Force for East Timor (Interfet), for the return voyage to the Oecussi enclave in West Timor. The ship is loading and unloading cargo directly across the beach near the docks to one of the roads in Dili. There is cargo stacked to the left, ready to be loaded and a tent to the right. A number of Timorese are standing behind a fence watching the operations.
