Description
Reclining figure of an Australian soldier, Robertson Barracks, Darwin. The soldiers were in Darwin being de-briefed and trained before moving on to East Timor as part of the Interfet Peacekeeping Force, December 1999. Page from sketchbook no. 1. 'I attended some of the briefings with the soldiers at the Rowell Centre Lecture Hall at Robertson Barracks. They were about East Timorese customs, language, religion, diseases and other hazards.'
