Papers relating to the 1 Durham Light Infantry (DLI) unit, which served with an Australian unit, 3 Battalion Royal Australian Regiment (3 RAR), in the 28 Commonwealth Brigade during the Korean War. Items in the collection include a regimental plaque for DLI; a copy of a report on the DLI by Brigadier Peter Jeffreys; eight photographs relating to the DLI and 3 RAR's service in Korea; a copy of 1 DLI's war diary for its Korean service; a personal report documenting his Korean service by Lieutenant Colonel E Barini; a copy of a typescript entitled "A True Story of Courage, Glory and Service" by Major T C Periam.
