History / Summary
7579 Warrant Officer Class II Eric Charles Fox enlisted on 11 August 1915 and served with 5 Field Artillery Brigade, AIF. He saw action on the Western Front, and was wounded at Ypres. He was awarded the Military Medal. He returned to Australia on 20 May 1919. During the Second World War he served as NX14373 Warrant Officer Class I with 2/5 Field Regiment and saw service in Syria and later in New Guinea. He was a member of the Manly Life Saving Club and the only member to have his name recorded on the clubs' Roll of Honour for both world wars. He died in 1964.
