Group portrait of the original officers and men of the 26th Battalion. No identification details were recorded for the men in this group. Subsequently identified is Captain Gilbert Harry MC and Bar, MM (front row, fifth from left). He was one of only nine members of the AIF to win the Military Cross and Bar and Military Medal. The men are in front of the Marchienne-au-Pont school.
