Gallipoli Peninsula, Turkey. November 1915. Sari Bair Range from Chunuk Bair to Baby 700. Chunuk Bair is on the extreme left, Battleship Hill in the far distance in the centre and Baby 700 to the right, but not included in the picture. It was into this confused country that the main attack of 6 August 1915 to 10 August 1915, was made. During the night of 6 and 7 August New Zealand Mounted Rifles had to clean the Turks out of all the foothills. At dawn the next day attacks were to begin on the main summits.
