John Edward Haines as a corporal 6 Battalion (6RAR) and later 2 Battalion (2RAR), Royal Australian Regiment, 1966-1967 (SERN (2412413); Australian Forces Vietnam Provost Unit, 1971-1972; South Vietnam, interviewed by Dr Jane Ross for her project "An oral history of Australians in Vietnam" .
History / Summary
John Haines started his service in Vietnam as part of 1 Australian Reinforcement Unit (1ARU) in 1966. Between 1966-67 Haines spent time serving as part of 6 Battalion Royal Australian Regiment (6RAR) as well as part of 2 Battalion Royal Australian Regiment (2RAR). From 1971-72 Haines served with the Australian Forces Vietnam Provost Unit (AFV PRO). Haines is interviewed by Dr Jane Ross about his service in Vietnam.
