Collection relating to the Second World War service of WX1649 Private William Ernest Bennett, 2/11 Battalion, Poland, 1943.

Wallet 1 of 1 - Typescript copy in English translation of the Statement of Charge against William Ernest Bennett, POW number 24890, Stalag VIII-B Lamsdorf, 1943. The charge is that that Bennett, while working in an Army Supplies Depot bakery, stole a loaf of bread and gave it to a Soviet Prisoner of War. Bennett was sentenced to six weeks in solitary confinement.
