Dengate, Edward Cornelius (Trooper, 12th LH Regt and RAE)
Description
Collection of letters written by Trooper Edward Cornelius Dengate to his wife Gertrude Dengate (and previously as Miss Gertrude Horton), from 1916 to 1942. His WW1 letters were written from Sydney, Egypt, Palestine and Syria and cover his enlistment, training and service in the Middle East. His later WW2 letters were written from various military camps in Australia.
