Collection relating to the Second World War service of WX14836 Gunner Jack Kenneth Ramsbottom (later known as John Kenneth Lane), 2/4 Machine Gun Battalion, Singapore and Japan, 1942-1945.
Wallet 1 of 1 - contains diaries maintained during captivity in Singapore, particularly working on the wharves, transportation to Japan with J Force, placement at Kobe House, work parties in the wharf and industrial areas of Kobe and details of the end of the war.
