Description

Collection consists of two albums containing bound and loose items including printed poems; photographs of Gallipoli; Mena Camp and soldiers convalescing; letters from soldiers recovered from wounds; newspaper cuttings of Lt Spencer Gray, RNAS; typewritten songs (untitled); ink sketches; certificates from the British Red Cross; souvenir programmes from Australian Natives Association "Corroboree" and the opening of Australia House; handwritten poem for HRH Princess Louise; copies of 'The rising Sun' and 'Aussie'; and an autographed menu for a dinner given in honour of Sir Keith and Sir Ross Smith. Amongst the correspondence is a series of letters, March 1916 - May 1917, from Arthur Streeton containing sketches of military life.
