Description
Account of naval service in both the Royal Navy and Royal Australian Navy during 1887-1924, including: mention of his early training and postings in the RN, transfer to the RAN in 1912, service aboard the 'Ooma' in Rabaul, transfer to the 'Sydney', including an account of the 'Emden' action, patrol duties in the Atlantic, joining the 2 Light Cruiser Squadron in the North Sea - including a Zeppelin attack, and later return to Australia.
