Collection relating to service of Lieutenant Colonel William Joseph Bateman, 17 Battalion, France, 1915-1918. Collection includes letters received by Bateman and notebook kept by Bateman with nominal rolls of 21 Battalion and disposition of lifeboats of the troopship SS Southland. Bateman's notebook contains pasted annotation by J. L. Treloar.
