Description
Small enamelled Rising Sun badge mounted on a gold tie pin. The reverse of pin is impressed 'A55' and the reverse of badge '15 CT'.
History / Summary
Associated with the service of 18663, Lieutenant Robert Victor Frazer, 6 Battery, 7 Field Artillery Brigade. Frazer, an auditor of Kensington, NSW, enlisted on 22 November 1915 aged 21 and returned to Australia on 23 July 1919. A Forward Observation Officer, Frazer was awarded the Military Cross for moving forward into a conspicious and dangerous observation position during operations at Passchendaele on 4 October 1917, capturing papers from a wounded German staff officer and returning with a full report, despite being wounded.
