Description
A view of the battlefield of Dernancourt. This area is where the 12th and 13th Australian Infantry Brigades broke the massed assaults of nearly four German divisions during their thrust towards Amiens on 5 April 1918. In the background (left) is a shell damaged farm shed. Note several wine bottles scattered across the foreground. This is the left hand image in a two part panorama. See E02207P for the combined image.
