Description
A view of the battlefield of Dernancourt. This area is where the 12th and 13th Australian Infantry Brigades broke the massed assaults of nearly four German divisions during their thrust towards Amiens on 5 April 1918. In the background is a shell damaged farm shed (far left) and several other unidentified structures (far right). Note the wine bottles scattered across the foreground (left). This is a digitally combined composite panorama made up of two separate images. It is only available as a digital print. The two images are also available separately at E02207 and E02208.
