Eighty letters to family members over the period 1940 to 1944, written by NX35589 Sergeant Noel William McKenzie. Sgt McKenzie served with 12 Battery, 3 Anti Tank Regiment in the Middle East and North Africa, and, after medical evauation to Australia and recovery, with 2/43 Battalion in New Guinea. Also includes a letter written by Sgt McKenzie's Commanding Officer, Captain R R McKee to McKenzie's mother, after McKenzie was awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal.
