Slouch hat : Private A B Titter, British Commonwealth Occupation Forces
Description
Slouch hat complete with khaki cotton puggaree, brown leather chinstrap and copper Rising Sun badge. The puggaree has a 1945 pattern Australian Army Medical Corps unit patch sewn to it. The leather sweatband is impressed 'V.553, 7, 1943'. The hat has some moth grazing and a few minor holes. The chinstrap is damaged.

He later served in Japan with the British Commonwealth Occupation Forces (BCOF) as a carpenter with 130 Australian General Hospital, Japan. Details of his Second World War service are unknown.
