I'll Have the Local Brand
Description
This Australian Second World War poster was produced by Department of War Organsiation of Industry, advising that it was preferred that people use local items, rather than those that had been imported. By allowing for this provision, interstate (and indeed international) traffic routes would be freer to allow war supplies.
The poster depicts a harbour with a docked ship and three M3 Lee tanks in the background, with a fourth M3 Lee in the right foreground. In the left margin, two women are depicted shopping as an example of people buying the 'local brand.'
