Description
Typescript memoir (98 pp) titled "Eastern Interlude", written in 1998 by Janet 'Pat' Darling (nee Gunther) covering her Second World War nursing service in Malaya and, following the sinking of the 'Vyner Brooke' off Banka Island, subsequent experiences as a prisoner of war of the Japanese in Sumatra (Palembang).
