Description
An unidentified group of Australians, in greatcoats displaying a printed sign 'Templeux', standing in the snow amongst the ruins of the town of Templeux during the winter of 1917-1918. A small Simplex, 20 horsepower narrow gauge locomotive tractor can be seen (right) which is hooked up to a small wagon. The loco operators position has been covered over with an improvised shelter which gives some protection against the cold weather. Note that the narrow gauge rails have been laid across the road.
