Description
SPrivate (Pte) Percival Leonard Smith (on left) and 1984 Private (Pte) George Nuwan Smith (on right), 3rd Reinforcements, 22nd Battalion, of Wartook via Horsham, Vic. 2005 Pte Smith enlisted on 23 June 1915 and 1984 Pte Smith enlisted on 4 January 1915. They both embarked aboard HMAT Anchises in Melbourne on 26 August 1915. Pte George Smith returned to Australia on 20 January 1916 and Pte Percival Smith was killed in action on 21 November 1915.
