"You're doing a great job!"
This Second World War Australian poster depicts a soldier in a uniform shaking hands with a woman dressed in what appears to be a factory workers' uniform.
The poster divided into two sections by two blocks of background colour - the upper section is dark blue with a superimposed image of Australian soldiers at war (likely the jungles of New Guinea) and the lower section in bright yellow. In the upper section is the text "you're doing a great job!", written in the contrasting yellow of the lower section. In the upper left section is a drawing of an Australian Soldier printed in black ink and superimposed over the image. He reaches diagonally to the lower right to thank the female worker. The female worker wears a dark blue dress - the same colour as the background image in the upper section. In the lower left next to the female figure is an extract from an unidentified newspaper entitled "Australia's Food Production / One of the War's Miracles," which goes on to discuss the important role of food production in Australia for maintaining supplies for Allied soldiers. During the Second World War, Australia supplied much of the food for the Allied forces.
