Description
A road in a French village that housed the headquarters of the British 35th Division. There are two Albion trucks in the street. A group of soldiers and officers is standing on and beside the road in the middle distance. A sign in the bushes on the right reads 'Dead slow'. (From the collection of 704 Driver Ernest Charles Barnes who served with the 1st Field Artillery Brigade, 21st Howitzer Brigade and 2nd Field Artillery Brigade.)
