Nui Dat, South Vietnam. 1968-12. Corporal Slim Harvey of Redcliffe, Qld (left), opening a Christmas parcel for Private Muri Mato of Opotiki, New Zealand, a patient at 8th Field Ambulance, Nui Dat. The Christmas parcel, from Australian Forces Overseas Fund (AFOF) contained toilet articles, fruit juice, a book, socks, a handkerchief, sweets, writing paper, envelopes and a pen. Each serviceman in Vietnam received one of these gift boxes. The wheelchair Private Mato is sitting in was donated to 8th Field Ambulance from funds provided by the Canberra Army Officers' Wives Association.
