Horseshoe Hill, South Vietnam. 1969-07. Private (Pte) Greg Salmon of Cremorne, NSW (left), explains the workings of an M79 grenade launcher to a South Vietnamese soldier while Pte John Dever of Muswellbrook, NSW, explains the action of an M16 automatic rifle to another South Vietnamese. Members of C Company, 9th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (9RAR), were training part of the 18th Division of the Army of the Republic of Vietnam (ARVN) in tactics and weapons, at the Horseshoe feature near Nui Dat.
