Description

South Vietnam. 1969-08. Major Jim MacIntyre of South Yarra, Vic, a member of the Salvation Army, is spending twelve months with the tank squadron and goes wherever the tanks are operating to dispense cordial, biscuits, chewing gum and good cheer to the troopers. Men who crew the Centurion tanks of B Squadron, 1st Armoured Regiment heave to wherever they meet. Accepting a cup of cordial is the tank driver, Trooper (Tpr) Bryan Cavanagh of Villawood, NSW. On the turret waiting their turn are 55625 Tpr Willem (Bill) Vanderschoot of Rivervale, WA (partly obscured), and Tpr Don Webber of Southport, Qld.
