Description

South Vietnam. 1969-08. Gunner John Oxenham of Griffith, NSW (left), and Trooper Rod Beazley of Narrogin, WA, sort through captured equipment and personal effects of twelve dead Viet Cong (VC). The enemy were killed in a night ambush by 3 Troop of B Squadron, 3rd Cavalry Regiment, on the coast of south-eastern Phuoc Tuy Province. The next day one of the enemy party surrendered. He was then flown to the 1st Australian Task Force (1ATF) Base at Nui Dat for further questioning.
