Horseshoe Hill, South Vietnam. 1969-09. Lieutenant (Lt) Adrian D'Hage of Townsville, Qld (right), examines the efficiency flag presented each week to the best company in a South Vietnamese Army battalion, being retrained in infantry techniques by Australian troops. Lt D'Hage, Second in Command of B Company, 6RAR /NZ (ANZAC) (The ANZAC Battalion comprising 6th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment and a component from the 1st Battalion, Royal New Zealand Infantry Regiment), which has been retraining the 18th Division of the Army of the Republic of Vietnam (ARVN) from 1969-08-12 to 1969-09-20. On the left is Bombardier John Niukkanen of Mount Gravett, Qld, a member of the Forward Observer's party from 101st Field Battery. The Company Commander of the winning company is in the centre. He is a member of the 3/43 ARVN Battalion.
