Description
Nui Dat, South Vietnam. 1969-09. 'Stagger Inn, SP Coy', the name for one of the many soldiers' boozers at the 1st Australian Task Force (1ATF) Base. This sign depicts the cartoon character 'Sad Sack'. Many of the signs are often an instant memorial to the modern soldiers' ingenuity. The colourful names are often expressive of the character of the wet canteens.
