South Vietnam. 1969-10. Lieutenant (Lt) John Waddington of Acacia Ridge, Qld, checks the performance of the giant 1800 horsepower engine on board the Army Landing Ship, Clive Steele, on duty in South Vietnamese waters. Lt Waddington is on full time duty with the Army, and is Chief Engineer on board the Clive Steele.
