Vung Tau Harbour, South Vietnam. November 1970. Soldiers of the 8th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (8RAR), walk across the deck of HMAS Sydney carrying their kitbags and rifles, after flying by Chinook helicopter from the 1st Australian Task Force Base (1ATF), at Nui Dat to Vung Tau harbour, to start their homeward journey. 8RAR, which completed its twelve month tour of duty in South Vietnam, is returning to its homebase of Enoggera, Queensland.
