Hurdcott, Wiltshire, England. 18 December 1918. Group portrait of six soldiers in the Carpenter's Shop at the 12th Training Battalion. Left to right: Private (Pte) Cooke, 16th Battalion (Bn); Sergeant J. Burrows, 15th Bn, Pioneer Sergeant; Pte Toope, 49th Bn; Pte J. McFarlane, 16th Bn; Pte J. H. Waddell, 16th Bn; Pte W. Curvato, 49th Bn. Repairs to barracks, fittings, etc are effected by Battalion Pioneers thus saving many pounds for the Barrack Damages fund.
