Outdoor portrait of two boxers striking a boxing pose. Identified on the left is Captain (Capt) Gilbert Gordon Coghill MC, 35th Battalion from Sydney, NSW and on the right is Second Lieutenant (2nd Lt) Matty Smith, Australian Flying Corps from Brisbane, Queensland (originally from Ireland), who represented Australia in the heavyweight and lightweight boxing divisions respectively at the Inter-Allied games, Paris, June-July, 1919. They are wearing their AIF uniform. Capt Coghill is 6 foot 2 inches (188 cm) tall and 2nd Lt Smith is 5 foot 4 inches (163 cm) tall.
