Description

Studio portrait of Andrew Buxton Brittlebank of Myrniong, Vic. 1886 Corporal Brittlebank enlisted on 17 February 1916 and died of wounds on 15 October 1917 while serving with the 59th Battalion. His cousin, Cyril Clifton Brittlebank enlisted on 21 April 1915 and died of disease on 23 May 1918. At the time this photograph was taken Andrew Brittlebank was probably visiting his cousin, Cyril in training camp and was mostly likely wearing a uniform provided by the photographer.
