Description
Studio portrait of 419 Private (Pte) Joseph Frederick Gribble, 24th battalion, of Wandiligong, Vic. Pte Gribble enlisted on 23 March 1915 and embarked aboard HMAT Euripides on 10 may 1915. On 30 June 1916, while serving with the 6th Machine Gun Company, he was killed in action at Bois Grenier in the Armentieres area of France.
