Description
Studio portrait of two soldiers. Standing is 2126 Private (Pte) George Graham Cocks, 4th Reinforcements, 23rd Battalion, of Sedden, Vic; and seated is 2153 Private (Pte) Donald Greig, 4th Reinforcements, 23rd Battalion, of Bendigo, Vic. Pte Cocks enlisted on 10 July 1915 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Hororata on 27 September 1915. He was killed in action on 13 April 1916 at Fleurbaix, France. Pte Greig enlisted on 12 July 1915 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Hororata on 27 September 1915. He returned to Australia on 31 January 1918. See also DA10529 and DA10530.
