Description
Studio portrait of 2773 Private (Pte) Leo Joseph Murphy, 6th Reinforcements, 21st Battalion, of Melbourne, Vic (originally of North Woolwich, England). Pte Murphy enlisted on 22 July 1915 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Moldavia on 5 October 1915. He was killed in action on 24 August 1916 at Pozieres, France.
