Description
Studio portrait of 2333 Private (Pte) William Robert Gibson, 5th Reinforcements, 22nd Battalion, of Richmond, Vic, aged 37. Pte Gibson enlisted on 12 July 1915 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Osterley on 29 September 1915. He was killed in action on 5 January 1917 on the Longueval to Ginchy Road, France.
