Studio portrait of either: 2349 Private (Pte) Albert Edwin Cochrane, 5th Reinforcements, 23rd Battalion, of Richmond, Vic, aged 30, or; 505 Pte Albert Ernest Cochrane, B Company, 29th Battalion, of Horsham, Vic, aged 22. 2349 Pte Cochrane enlisted on 11 July 1915 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Osterley on 29 September 1915. He returned to Australia on 25 March 1919. 505 Pte Cochrane enlisted on 10 July 1915 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Ascanius on 10 November 1915. He returned to Australia on 8 April 1919 with the 32nd Battalion.
